Dear Sir: In the performance of my contract
with the government, dated May 6, 1844, I
ferried to fortWayne, the residence of the
agent for the Miami Indians, and, on the
27th of May, whe--ged(?) Mr. Hamilton,
by letter, of my readiness to Co ordinate
in all measures defering(?) when me by
the said contract. I deem it my duty
to send you a copy of that letter, and
I endorse it in the envelope which -----(?)
that.
I formed Mr Hamilton altogether ---
------- to allot(?) in the emigration, at the
earliest day, which measure he deems of
vital importance to the tribe, as well
as important to the state government. He
denies to hold a council, or talk with
the Indians, let Cor-flam(?) of hareil no
funds to insult them for that poor hole.
A small item would accomplish
the object, and be count when authority
to draw for it.
I shall rejoice I Mr Hamilton is

Agent of Miami Indians :
Dear Sir: Haril became a contractor for
collect---. ------, and removal of the Miami
Tribe of Indians, now under your agency,
I take occasion to inform you that I am
prelaned(?) to finish all the facilities ne-
cesary for those -----, at which time,
and under each conditions as may be
deemed best calculated to abravce the re--s
of the general government, and, at the same
time, carry out its just and humane
intention towards that tribe.
I will be happy to hear such just-
se---- as you may be gleaned to make,
in resand to the -------- ------,
in all measures ----- when me by
the contract.
