As soon as I can possibly do so I shall give you the name and age of each individual. I have had the honour to receive your two letters of the 14<sup>th</sup>, one acknowledging the receipt of my monthly returns, the other accompanying a Proclamation of the President of the United States. I shall strictly observe your directions in relation to my intercourse with the Miamis. The contractor for the emigration of the Miamies is now collecting them at a point about 10 miles North of Peru, Ind<sup>a</sup> and expects to be able to start some time during next month.
