	Sir,		Sir,
	The contraction for the removal of the Miamians has called on [illegible] this morning and [illegible] that he has been engaged in notifying the Indians to [illegible] at his [illegible]. but they unfortunately say to him that their chief told them to do nothing toward their emmigration untill they should hear from [illegible] - that they are ready to commence whereas the chief [illegible] he is ready.
	After the request of the contraction I ask that as soon as action is had on the chief's appreciation I may be [illegible] [illegible], as almost every member of the tribe expects some relief on favor to [illegible] from the wish the chief repays you, and they are not willing to do anything untill he returns and they hear the result of his mission for the chief to return as soon as possible, and if he regards his pledge to aid in the emmigration he will do so.
	The interpretation has gone very wrong, in [illegible] [illegible] at this time. the chief [illegible] good english and [illegible] not need him. I hope you will [illegible] him to return to his duty here.
	The Miami's contraction [illegible] to use [illegible] the [illegible] for fifty dollars a head. I have not been able to get a [illegible] of them. but from what I can [illegible] there is something remaining of the of [illegible] as soon as possible I will give you the [illegible]

The interpreter has done very wrong in leaving here at this time. the chief speaks good english and does not need him. I hope you will direct him to return to his duty here.

			The Miami contractor proposes to remove the Weas for fifty dollars a head. I have not been able to get a list of them, but from what I can learn there is something [illeg] of 30 of them. As soon as possible I will give you the list.
