I have the honor to enclose herewith a letter of addressed to me by Robt. Peebles Esq giving notice that he has sold the interest he held in the Contract for the removal and [illegible] of the Miamis.

Mr Logvilland the active [illegible] of them now interested in the Contract is busily engaged in making preparations for  the emigration he designs keeping the Indians together when they are assembled for the purpose of having an examination of their debts and as soon as possible put them under motion. If he succeeds the emigration will be effected early in the season.
