Announcing his return from his trip WEst with Miamies Emit--wishes to know what he must do with $220 placed in his hands for the purpose of buying iron & steel &c which he would have left with Supt. Harvey at St. Louis, but H. was not at home.

States that the contractors refuse to allow him for expenses while engaged in emigration or for expenses on his reutnr home; and that no settlement for salary in expenses has been had.
