I have paid George [Hunt] the interpreter his salary for the 3rd [go] of the year, and have change for contingencies beyond the amount in my hands for that purpose. if it will be in accordance with the practices of the Department to permit it, I should be pleased to visit Washington for the purpose of closing all my accounts at once.
