Dear Sir

We have been expecting, for some time to receive a Draft for the amount due us as the assignees & attorneys of Mssrs Coquillard Edsall & Ewing for the removal of the Miami Indians, west of the Mississippi. If a requisition has not already been issued, in our favour, will you do us the favour to have one issued, so that a Draft may be forwarded to us from the proper department and this shall be your authority and voucher for so doing.
